Lots of people have been asking us for ducks eggs. Well, this year we ordered 30 more ducks, so once the hens start laying, we will be able to fill all the requests.
Our chickens and ducks have started laying in full force, now that the days are longer again.
We can fill monthly orders and large orders, just give us a call.
We will be breeding our Dominque chickens next. This is the oldest American breed, beautiful, cold hardy, docile and lays a brown egg. My daughter won Best in Show twice with our Dominque hens.
Hatching eggs are $1.50 per egg + shipping (if needed).
Chicks are $3 per chick. (Local pick up only)
Well on Tuesday, January 4th, 2 Silver Appleyard ducklings hatched. Then on Thursday, Janurary 6, our Pekin hen died in my arms. Very sad.
Our next eggs in the incubator will be Buff Orpington and Australorp chickens. I will post when the expected hatch date is for anyone interested in chicks.
Well fall is here and the leaves keep filling up the chicken's water tubs! Most of our chickens we raised this season look great. Although, I'm upset that my golden-laced Wyandotte rooster does not have the proper comb. He looks like the standard in all other points, except for his comb.
We were at the Laurita Winery a few weeks ago, had a great turnout. The public was very interested in what our family was doing with our chickens and bought a lot of eggs. Hopefully, we will get some new repeat customers out of the event.
Our family is going to the Hunterdon County 4H poultry show on November 20th. We are showing some of our chickens, hanging out with other chickens people is always a good time.
We have Rhode Island Red chickens that were hatched on April 28th for sale. They are all fully feathered and are living outside. They should start laying at the end of October, and continue steadily during the winter. You would have to pick them up. They are $6 each.
The Laurita Winery has invited us to be a vendor at their 1st annual Summer Soltice Festival on June 19th & 20th. We will be selling eggs and have available sign ups for monthly shares. Also I will be bringing a few of my hens. Come out and see a beautiful winery and some beautiful feathered girls!
