It has been a goal, since our first blog, to maintain a consistent stream of what life is like here at Summer Smiles Honey Farm.
Challenges exist all around us. Looks like we have aHUGE Opportunity for IMPROVEMENT, as its been a few YEARS since we have last written a blog.
UGH!! Where does time go??
So I sat down to work on a BLOG entry last evening. After an hour, I gained 10 more gray hairs and went to bed super frustrated, as our sketchy internet connecting toyed with me the entire time.
The BLOG never did save, as the internet connection dropped somewhere along the line.
I was writing about Challenges on the Farm, beginning with TIME MANAGEMENT. Funny, right?
Ironically, that was a horrible waste of time and I missed out an hour of relaxation on Christmas night with Amanda, only to end up feeling perplexed and anxious, as that was one thing I wanted to check off the list.
Not being able to sleep, I had thoughts of heading out to the barn to hit the heavy bag.
Ever have that feeling?
I am grateful today is here and the BLOG is running. Not exactly the content I was orginally going after.
TIME to GO! The outdoor furance ALARM just BUZZED, as its 4 degrees outside.
I'm 2 hours behind getting out to feed.
There is no FIREWOOD cut to feed the Furnace, as we are out. I hope my chainsaw starts easily.
Animals need fed and watered.
Hopefully everyone is well, as 2 days ago Amanda and I went out to feed and found one of our dear goats broke her leg in a FREAK accidient and had to be put down. (You NEVER know what you will find when you OPEN the Barn door).
Our hurt sheep, Bonnie needs her shots, (if I can catch her.) (She stepped on Nails in a hidden Board under straw)
AND I need to find the syringes, as they fell out of my pocket yesterday, somewhere in the fresh snow.
The SUITE needs freshened as we have guests checking IN today.
Looks like the HOLIDAY vaction is over!
Just to be clear, I am certainly NOT complaining.
This is just a day on OUR Farm!
And I am SUPER grateful for all of the Challenges and Frustrations that come our way.
Our FAITH shines through and the Good Lord knows I love a good Challenge. :)
