Thanks to the warm weather we now can start to enjoy NY State corn. My customers have been asking me weekly when the corn would be ready. Well the wait is over. This week we will be picking up corn from C. Rowe and Sons. We have been getting our corn from them each year since our Farm Stand opened six years ago. Nothing beats the taste of fresh picked corn, so tender that you could eat it raw..... Great for salads and perfect to complete any backyard barbeques. Stop by soon and pick up a ear of two.....
Also this week we will be picking up fresh Apricots, Peaches and Plum @ Truncali Farms.
I thought this might be of interest to you, and wondered if you could help spread the word about this terrific speaking event:
If you’re going to be near the Hamptons this weekend Brian Halweil, author of “Eat Here: Reclaiming Homegrown Pleasures In a Global Supermarket” and editor of the magazines Edible East End, Edible Manhattan & Edible Brooklyn will be appearing at the Amagansett Library, this Saturday July 10 • 6:00PM. More details at amagansettauthors.com. He’ll be talking about how changing the way we eat and how we produce our food can empower us to change the world for the better!
Many thanks!
