Beet, Detroit Dark Red Heirloom Organic seeds

At Home Farm Herbery we only plant Heirloom Organic seeds and we save these seeds each year.  Often we have some extra and when that happens we are pleased to offer them to other health conscious gardeners and this year we have only 6 packages to sell.

We love this Beet and we are sharing a little of its heirloom history with you. (Beta vulgaris) is an heirloom from 1892. Original selections were made from Early Blood Turnip by Mr. Reeves of Port Hope, Ontario Canada. Nearly round blood-red 3" diameter roots. This beet is great for canning and fresh eating. We love this prolific beet at Home Farm Herbery as it is a good keeper. 60-65 days to maturity.
