Country Lakes Alpacas

Welcome to our farm! We are a family run alpaca farm in Lawton, Michigan, home to 18 beautiful, curious alpacas.

In 2004 I thought it would be a great idea to "grow my own sweaters" and alpacas were an interesting idea.  Fast forward 10 years and  we have moved from Connecticut to Southwest Michigan, retired from full-time jobs, fenced and restored, and became breeders of prize winning alpacas.

It has been a crazy journey for two "city kids" but we've earned our stripes. We're happy to share this wonderful adventure with others and have opened a store to sell yarn and rovings from our own herd.
