Produce Stand

Hello Local Harvest crowd.  This is an update for Local Harvest users. We have moved our blog on over to www.Kucekfamilyfarms.com There you will find 2 or 3 blogs posted a month on everything that is going on within our farm. One new thing going on is our new produce stand. You can find this produce stand located in the town of Gridley at 204 Cherry. It is a help yourself produce stand stocked almost daily with all the fresh produce from our farm. Because we are not selling our produce outside of our community at this time, we are leaving it for the community to come and get it....We are selling at below cost prices because of how our farm does business, or does not do business. Much of our produce is donated to family members or community members in need. The "left overs" or extras are located at this farm stand for the rest to enjoy. For us, it is about not wasting a single piece of yummy fruit or veggie. We are not angels of course, and some go bad because it was simply not distributed fast enough. That is where you all come in. Come take a look and take what you need.

My daughter is also selling her wares. She is 4 and we have been teaching her how to grow and sell. Pretty much the cycle of food. She planted sunflowers seeds, helped them to grow, clipped them (the low ones) and is now selling them in the produce stand for $3 a bunch. If you're interested in a few pretty sunflowers, then come check them out. We will also have Dahlias in a few more weeks. They are coming on slow, but when they get here there will be a ton to enjoy.  I would add some pictures here but I have no idea how to do that, so you will have to come check it out on our website.

Also an update on our product sales.  As mentioned previously we are only selling locally at this time. Because our goal is to help the local economy first, we are starting here and working our way out. Thanks for any and all interests we have had and I look forward to meeting many of you at the produce stand or during walnut season.

Happy gardening everyone!
