Cook's Farm & Ranch

How do you make dried okra for farmers market?
(Savoy, Texas)

Starting the 2014 season

Here at the farm we have started removing the black plastic so we can lay new plastic. We ordered our 10 cases of onions Monday and they will arrive today (2-20). Plowed another 5 acres today, A friend in Whitewright ordered to many cases of onions and has asked if we could help him out. So that's what we do best here on the farm is help friends out. Still have many things to get done on the farm and not enough daylight, Cant wait till the time changes so we have more day light. We have 2 green houses to put up so we can start our transplants. We are doing something new here on the farm this year, We are asking anyone that is interested in volunteering here on the farm in exchange for vegetables. If you like being outdoors, getting your hands dirty and learning in the process about gardening.... This is for you, Just shoot us an email and we will put you on the list and get back with you. This is the start of the 2014 season so we will be busy here on out. If you have any questions about our farm feel free to contact us anytime, Thanks for everyone's support!!
