It's hard to believe that summer is coming to an end. For the next few weeks we will be featuring our table grapes. We will also have watermelon, tomatoes, sweet peppers and chili peppers. Come visit us at the Salem Public Market on Saturday and Turner Farmers Market on Sunday.

For the last few weeks I have been highlighting our tomatoes and melons. Well, I have neglected to talk about our peppers and Asian eggplants.. We will be bringing Italian sweet peppers, anaheim, poblano and jalapeno. We will be at the Salem Public Market on Saturday from 8 AM-2 PM.. We Will be at the Turner Farmers Market on Sunday from 9:30 AM - 2 PM

This week we are featuring our sweet, ripe melons. We will have a tasting of our watermelon and cantaloupe We will also have tomatoes,lettuce,Asian eggplants, zucchini, sweet Italian peppers and chili peppers. We are looking forward to seeing you at the Salem Public Market on Saturday and the City of Turner Farmers Market on Sunday.

This week I have been thinking of the summer picnics of my youth - red and white hot dogs, Grandma Brown baked beans, fresh ripe tomatoes and of course ripe cantaloupe and watermelon. Well, we can't bring the hot dogs and baked beans to the markets, but we are bringing large ripe tomatoes and ripe, flavorful cantaloupe and watermelon. We will also have our famous cucumbers, Asian eggplants, garlic and sweet Italian peppers. We will be at the Salem Public Market and the Turner Farmers Market. Hope to see you there

TOMATOES ON SALE! This weekend only we will be offering our slicing tomatoes for $2.00/lb.. We will be at the Salem Public Market? on Sat, July 28, 2018 and the City of Turner Farmers Market on Sun., July 29, 2018.We will also be bringing cucumbers, lettuce, zucchini garlic, and honey.

Our fields are bursting with wonderful produce. Beginning July 7,2018, Red Rooster Farm will be at 2 weekly farmer markets. On Saturdays, we will be at the Salem Public Market, 1249 Rural Ave., Salem Or 97302. On Sundays, we will be at the Turner Farmers Market. The market is located across the street from the Turn Around Café. This week we have 3 varieties of tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, sweet and hot peppers, walla walla onions , zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower and kohlrabi.

Red Rooster Farm and Produce has all the fixings to make your July 4th celebration successful. Please join us on July 1, 2018 at the Turner Farmer's Market at Third and Boise (across from the Turnaround Café). We will be there fro 9:30 AM - 2:00 PM. We will be bringing tomatoes, lettuce, Walla Walla onions, cucumbers, zucchini, broccoli, cauliflower and hot peppers, Happy 4th of July.

We will be at the City Of Turner Farmers Market on Sun. June 24, 2018. Hours are from 9:30AM- 2PM. The Market is across the street from the Turnaround Café. We will have lettuce, broccoli, sugar snap peas, zucchini, garlic and honey. We will also be taking orders for pickling cucumbers. Riley, our red rooster is crowing about all the beautiful produce that we will be bringing to the Silverton Farmers Market on Saturday. We will be offering our heirloom tomatoes, Italian sweet peppers, broccoli, cauliflower, our specialty cucumbers, lettuce , garlic and French shallots and microgreens, As a reminder, we accept Oregon Farm Direct Nutrition Program Checks. We will be at the Silverton Farmers Market tomorrow. The market is from 9A-1P. We will be bringing heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, shallots, garlic and microgreens. Hope to see you there.

Here we are at the end of February and there are lots of activities going on at Red Rooster Farm and CSA. We are preparing the high tunnel to plant tomatoes, summer squash, peppers, and eggplants. Outside, we will be planting lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, beets and onions. In addition, our new hens are beginning to lay eggs. We still have space available for our CSA. Just a reminder that our special 10% discount off our vegetable shares ends Feb.29, 2016. Needless to say Doug and I are looking forward to the upcoming season and seeing all our friends.
