While trying to come up with a name for our blog, I decided on "California Treasures" because I truly treasure the beauty and goodness of raising healthy and delicious food products right here on our farm in California. My husband, Paul Fantozzi, is a fourth generation farmer. We started selling fresh apricots at our fruit stand in 1987, the same year our oldest son, Joseph, was born. When our four children were young, they loved helping pick and sell the apricots at our little stand. Soon, we added homemade apricot jam and our own olive oil to the products we sold. Our olives come from a few very old trees that were planted on our farm back at the turn of the century. The combination of Mission and Manzanillo olives creates a smooth and flavorful oil that our customers love! Our youngest son, Thomas, began raising honeybees several years ago...adding local honey, honey sticks, and other honey products to our fruit stand offerings. We are open every summer, usually from late May to early July. We still pick the apricots fresh every morning and love meeting old and new customers at our fruit stand every year.
