My Pig Adventure Begins

Hi, my name is Sarah. I am 12 years old. I live in Northern California. I live on a farm with my brothers Spencer and Luke, and my Mom and Dad. We have 65 chickens and 2 goats. I play Softball and my coach Jube raises and sells pigs, so he talked me into starting 4H and raising pigs for my project. This year I joined Alexander Valley 4H and I am raising and selling 2 pigs for the Healdsburg FFA Fair. My Dad Rob was in such a rush to get the pig pin finished because you have to at least have the pig for 60 days before the Fair. We went to get my first pig and it was in Boonville. It took about 2 hours to get there it was a very cold and winding way. We finally got to the house it was so muddy where the pigs were it was crazy! The pig I got was $250. Well we didn't finish the pin in time so we had to put the pig in my Dad's Get r Done Shed A.K.A My old playhouse. The first night having the pig, the pig was really scared. That night we had to install a lick it. A lick it is a automatic waterer the pig touches a little lever that releases water, so it can drink. We also had to drill its dinner plate to the ground, because she moved her plate that was filled with food into her bed. I named the pig Goober. That's it for right now i better go feed Goober, bye!!
