ReRide Ranch

ReRide Ranch is located just one hour from down town Los Angeles on the oak and pine covered Liebre Mountain of north Los Angeles County. The Sandberg Ranch, as it is known locally, was started in 1897 by the Sandberg family which had an orchard of over 2000 apple trees. They picked and delivered the apples, using the Old Ridge Route to Los Angeles in the early 1900's. Some of the original apple trees, estimated to be 80 to 85 years old, still grow and produce great tasting apples in the "back 80" without irigation or pruning. Today we only have a small mixed fruit orchard.
