CSA: Breaking Ground

The shares will vary in size and weight depending on the time of the season. Members support their farmer by sharing in the inherent risks of agriculture (e.g. poor weather, drought, disease, early frost, crop failure, etc.) and rewards (i.e. the bounty from a good season) involved in farming. CSA farmers purposely plan for such contingencies, and use growing techniques that protect the harvest, minimize risk to members and optimize the rewards. On the whole, members will get a wide variety of vegetables in plentiful amounts.
