We are at least one of the two or three oldest (if not the oldest) most experienced, continually operating CSA in the Washington DC area. Located in the Bull Run Mountains west of Washington DC.and grow, without the use of chemical pesticides and herbicides, just about every vegetable that can be grown in our area.

Water!
Water is the most important element for growing vegetables. Unlike many farms that have an insufficient or unpredictable water source our vegetables receive an endless supply of water from a pair of artisans springs that have providing over 60 gallons of spring water a minute at least since my wife's parents moved to our farm back in 1962. To have water when our vegetables need it we have five 3000 gallon tanks and a 140,000 gallon reservoir of stored water.
