We raised sheep from 1989-2005. Although we no longer own livestock, we have many fleeces in storage, which I have been processing for years. I also dye wool using natural plant materials found on our property, such as sagebrush, rabbit brush and lichens. I sell hand-spun wool and I also knit and crochet articles - mostly hats, gloves, mittens, and socks with occasional large items, ponchos and saddle blankets.
We raise vegetables and are planting more fruit trees. This year I am making chokecherry syrup. I sell heritage Danish pastries at the Lemhi County Farmers Market in Salmon, Idaho - June through Sept.
