Pine Island Free Farm

Pine Island Free Farm produces fresh fruits and vegetables for the local community in Southeast Minnesota. The farm is located in Olmsted County, just outside the city limits of Pine Island, MN, and less than 30 minutes from Rochester, MN. Weekly produce sales begin in May at the Rochester Farmer’s Market.

Pine Island Free Farm focuses on a market garden approach with permanent produce beds and mostly manual labor. We do not use any herbicides, pesticides or other synthetic chemicals at any time. We do apply minimal externally-sourced organic amendments while we continue to grow our composting operation and balance our soil.
