WE BELIEVE: That real food starts with real ranchers. We have a deep love and respect for the land and those who tend to it and cultivate it. As a company full of lifelong ranchers and farmers ourselves, we know, first hand, the love and commitment ranchers have to their profession, as well as the long days and hard work required to tend to the sheep and the land on which they roam. It is this keen understanding that drives the vision of Capra Foods. In nurturing our land and nurturing our sheep. We believe that ranchers have a tough exterior and a tender heart. We work only with ranchers that share our work ethic, moral standards, and who value good stewardship of land and livestock, and this is ensured through personal relationships with each and every rancher. That farming and ranching can and should be done the good olâ?? fashion wayâ?¦ the natural way. Our lambs are pastured lifelong not shipped off to far away confined feeding operations, and they are left completely physically intact. What exactly does that mean? It means that we do not dock tails or castrate the lambs. Additionally, we never ever use antibiotics or growth hormones. Our livestock live a completely natural life under the watchful eye of our ranchers and their work dogs. That the families of America are Her heartbeat. In an effort to keep that heartbeat strong, Capra Foods has facilitated bringing family ranches together to make a national impact. We find value in and seek to preserve and promote the â??little guyâ?? as opposed to faceless commodity lamb conglomerates or imported lamb shipped thousands of miles across the sea. We offer our ranchers a stable, year round pricing structure which, in turn, offers sustainability to the otherwise often times endangered small family farms and rural communities. In accountability and integrity of character. We take a robust approach towards food safety and animal welfare. As such, we offer transparency through third party audits and certifications performed by Food Safety Net Services. This ensures that we adhere to the highest standards of food safety, good manufacturing practices, standard operating procedures, and, of the utmost importance, humane handling practices and animal welfare. Additionally, we are compliant with all federal standards for HAACP, Humane Handling, and Food Safety. You see, we believe in what weâ??re doing. This is far more than a business. Capra was born of a love for the land, the livestock, and the families that tend them.
