Operating farmers' markets since 1992, The Food Trust's mission is to
ensure that everyone has access to affordable, nutritious food. In
2008, The Food Trust runs a network of 30 farmers' markets (including
affiliates) in the Southeastern Pennsylvania region, many of which are
in neighborhoods with little access to fresh food. The Trust works to
improve the health of children and adults, promote good nutrition,
increase access to nutritious foods, and advocate for better public
policy.
