In 2003, three college friends from the university of norte dame - justin gagnon, keith cosbey and ryan mariotti, left their corporate jobs with the mission to reimagine school lunch. Their starting point was the branch of the gagnon family's catering business that provided hot lunches for a few schools in the san francisco bay area. Justin, keith, an ryan drew upon on their passion for food to introduce local suppliers, professional chefs, a nutrition expert and kid approval at every step of the menu development process. Their background in technology resulted in a proprietary platform that brought unmatched flexibility and ease to the ordering process. The business has grown and now operates multiple kitchens throughout california to serve hundreds of schools. The three friends, now three partners and colleagues, dedicate every day making school lunch enjoyable, healthful, and smart.
