We raise commercial cattle, providing feeder/fair calves for 4-H and FFA and freezer beef. The freezer beef is sold commercially by the cut throughout the year. The cattle operation started with the original Higgins Farm, and we have producing cattle that are 6-7 generations farm bred and raised.
We also raise hogs, providing 4-H and FFA pigs for fairs and FFA ham & bacon pigs, as well as freezer pork. Slaughter hogs on the hoof, as well as halves and wholes, may be available at times.
We also raise lambs, providing 4-H and FFA lambs for fairs, as well as freezer lamb.
Our freezer meats are state inspected and labeled. We sell meat off the farm, as well as through the Pleasants Area Farmers Market, located in St. Marys, WV.
We have also started raising market lambs for 4-H and FFA, as well as slaughter. Will also be starting to raise meat goats for 2020.

We also sell various freezer pork cuts-- pork chops, sausage (bulk and patties), side meat, spare ribs, jowl meat, country style ribs, loin chops. Meat is sold off of the farm, or local delivery arrangements can be made. Meat is also available at the Pleasants Area Farmers Market (St. Marys).
We also sell various freezer lamb cuts-- shoulder steaks, ground lamb, lamb chops, leg of lamb, and dog bones.
