We believe that truly healthy food can only be grown in ways that build healthy soil, reduce or eliminate fossil fuel inputs, keep our water clean, and provide habitat for diverse wildlife. Our gardens are modeled after mid-nineteenth century Parisian Market Gardens, and we manage them with permaculture methods such as passive rainwater harvesting, forest-edge gardening, polyculture, biochar, reduced or no tillage, and chicken-powered composting. Everything on the farm serves multiple purposes, and one of our primary goals is to maintain a closed-loop system to eliminate waste and reduce our dependence on non-local inputs. Our fresh produce and eggs are available through our community supported agriculture (CSA) program and at select farmers markets throughout York County. Handcrafted Products for Natural Living Our products and crafts for daily living are made of 100% renewable and ethically-sourced materials. Locally-sourced materials are used when available. Contact us about custom orders. Permaculture Design, Installation and Maintenance We specialize in ornamental horticulture and landscapes that are so much more than beautiful gardens. Our designs feature edible and medicinal perennial herbaceous plants, shrubs, vines and trees alongside gorgeous beneficial ornamental exotic and native species. Permaculture methods are employed to passively capture rainwater and hold it on the landscape, provide habitat for beneficial wildlife, regenerate the biology in the soil, and create symbiotic plant guilds that require very low maintenance, but never stop rewarding you! We also offer a transitional landscape service to maintain your existing landscapes, but make them more sustainable and better for the environment.
