Panua Farms

Panua Farms, located outside Watsonville in La Selva Beach, CA, produces the highest quality worm castings available using dairy waste from a certified dairy that produces raw milk and organic waste from surrounding organic farms. Panua Farms worm castings are currently being used by many of our local farmers and home gardeners. Worm castings are completely safe and non-toxic for humans, animals, and do not damage the environment or pollute our groundwater!

Castings contain what no chemical fertilizer can provide––a highly active biological mixture of bacteria, enzymes, remnants of plant matter and animal manure. Even though earthworm castings have low NPK values, castings contain rich proportions of water-soluble nutrients which are available to the plant for immediate use as well as “time-released” nutrition. Castings, due to their predigested, simple form, allow plants to quickly and easily absorb essential nutrients and trace elements from the soil with minimal effort.

Castings also contain trace minerals and natural plant growth promoters such as auxins and cytokinins. Unlike most chemical fertilizers and manures, castings will not burn even the most delicate seedlings. Compared to other manures, castings are odorless, safer, and much more effective due to superior availability of nutrients. Furthermore, worm castings are an excellent way to improve both soil structure and fertility.
