Nestled on the shores of the Kootenai River in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, Sweetgrass Ranch is a regeneratively managed ranch dedicated to producing the most nutrient-dense, 100% grassfed lamb, pastured broilers and chicken and duck eggs, and raw honey available in our region. Every decision we make on this land is guided by the principles of Holistic Management — a science-backed, whole-systems approach that improves soil health, pasture vitality, and animal wellness with every passing season. We don't just raise animals; we steward an ecosystem, and that difference shows up on your plate.

Angie holds degrees in Animal Science and Agricultural Communications and has spent her entire career at the intersection of livestock and land health. She's a Certified Educator with the Holistic Management Institute and has been deeply shaped by the work of Allan Savory and Jim Gerrish. Her husband and farm partner, Kreg, keeps the whole operation running — he can fix or build anything, and manages our chemical-free beehives with the kind of quiet skill that only comes from truly loving what you do. (Between the two of them, there isn't much they can't handle — and they genuinely love talking about all of it, so don't be shy about asking questions!)

We raise our animals the way nature intended — on living diverse pasture, moved frequently to mimic natural grazing patterns, never confined, never rushed. The result is meat and eggs with superior flavor, fat quality, and micronutrient density that you simply cannot find in a grocery store.
