Welcome to Cool Mountain Nights! Our herd of pure German Angora rabbits is nestled in the mountain town of Weed, Ca. at the base of Mt. Shasta. Our rabbits, a globally rare heritage breed in danger of extinction even in their namesake country, are descended exclusively from stock imported from Germany giving us the assurance of the continued unique features of this luxurious commercial breed of angora rabbit. Primary features are no matting, no moulting, (therefore low to no allergy provocation for you) the heaviest density of all the wool rabbit breeds, (approximately one pound of fine wool every ninety days from adults) and ease of grooming and harvesting through scissor clippings, and a sweet, friendly temperament.
