Wildflower Springs Farm is a 100 acre certified organic farm (MOSA) in Southwest Wisconsin of grass & clover pastures, wooded hillsides, springs in the valleys and is home to beautiful song birds, wildflowers, howling coyotes and lots of deer. To this we add a small herd of Belted Galloway cattle, a flock of chickens, honey bees, a few dogs and cats, and a big garden. Our key goal is to provide local, organically grown, direct from the farm, nutritionally dense healthy beef for our customers, but we want to do it while farming in cooperation with nature by increasing the biodiversity and decreasing or eliminating erosion on the farm with the use of Management Intensive Rotational Grazing. Grass-fed beef naturally provides the natural healthy balance of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fats to our customers, while providing a healthy environment for our cattle, and the continuous grass & tree cover virtually eliminates erosion on our farm. By using organic methods, the beef is nutritionally dense and does not contain pesticides, herbicides, insecticides or antibiotics, and finally we chose the Belted Galloway Breed for its ability to produce lean and tender beef directly from grass without any grain. Thus by combining Organic methods with a Grass Fed philosophy and the genetics of Belted Galloway Cattle, we are able to provide local, direct from the farm, organic grass-fed beef which is healthy for our customers, healthy for our farm animals and us, and is healthy for the natural environment of our farm. We direct sell by the whole, halves and balanced quarters. We also occasionally sell registered Belted Galloway breeding stock to interested individuals.
