We do not use antibiotics, any type of hormones or chemical wormers or insecticides on any animals.
The cattle are rotated to fresh pasture daily. Chickens are moved to fresh grass daily. The pigs are on a slower rotation, always with clean water and sunshine, never in confinement. We use them to create disturbance in some pastures and woodlands to build topsoil. This creates a more flavorful, nutrient-dense product that cannot be compared to commodity supermarket beef, pork, and chicken.
Our farm follows regenerative agriculture practices that have helped us eliminate synthetic fertilizers, chemical herbicides, and pesticides. These practices work with nature to support more resilient soil structure and abundant wildlife population. We believe healthy soil creates healthy food and healthy humans.
We also cooperate with and support local processors to provide quality products for our customers. USDA cuts are sold at our on-farm store; wholes, halves, and quarters can be picked up at the processor. We are currently adding camping and RV facilities.
Cub Creek Pastures is proud of what we have accomplished and the products we sell. Check out our website and join our mailing list. Call or come by and check us out.
