The Franklins have farmed in St. Anne, Illinois, for over 100 years. In 2007 Jeff Franklin took 20 acres of the family farm to grow vegetables. We have since expanded to 38 acres. He uses no synthetic chemicals and practices sustainable, natural farming. Brothers, nephews, daughters, wives, sisters and neighbors have joined to create a true family and community adventure. We send our vegetables wholesale to farmer's markets, grocery stores, CSA's, distributors and restaurants throughout the Chicago area. Along with the favorite American stand-bys like carrots, zucchini, yellow squash and red beets, Deer Creek Organics also allows buyers to explore a variety of vegetables like kale, celeriac, leeks, parsnips and Italian parsley. Our goal is to: develop healthy soil in Illinois; provide healthy, local food for families; build a healthy, vibrant community. We are still developing wholesale opportunities in Chicago.
