Headgeapple Farm

Hedgeapple Farm is a family owned farm located in Dallas County, Iowa. We've farmed on a small scale since 1997 with a variety of sheep, goats and chickens. In the summer of 2006 we decided to refocus our efforts in establising a viable farm by raising and aquiring a top quality flock of Icelandic sheep and Icelandic cross sheep. Our objective is to make available the finest quality wool and meat. Throughout our years of farming we have strived to raise our livestock using natural methods, never using growth hormones and reserving the use of antibiodics as a last resort in treating illness. Our decision to build our flock around Icelandics is based upon their abilty to grow and thrive on pasture alone, plus the mild flavor. Truely a gourmet treat.
