Our herd includes two exceptional breeds: Angus and Belted Galloways. Angus cattle are a traditional breed known for producing classic, buttery beef prized for tenderness and marbling. Belted Galloways, often called “Belties,” are a heritage breed with a long history in the rugged landscapes of southwest Scotland. They are well-suited to Central Oregon’s climate and known for their calm, hardy nature. "Beltie Beef" is especially appealing to health-conscious consumers. On average, it is significantly lower in calories, total fat, saturated fat, and cholesterol, while being higher in protein and key nutrients like calcium and niacin. Nutritional analysis has shown that Beltie beef features a beneficial Omega-3 profile more akin to chicken or fish than traditional beef.
