The Newell Ranch is a family owned small ranch in northern New Mexico and Southern Colorado. We focus on raising red angus calves to produce the finest grassfed-grassfinished beef available.
Each calf remains on its mother's milk for at least 200 days. Once the calves are weaned, their diet includes all natural pasture forages available in Chromo Colorado and in the Rio Grande Valley. All veterinary treatments, vaccines and/or worming treatments are recorded and available for inspection. No antibiotics or growth promotants are used for the grass-fed program. We verify that humane handling procedures are used in loading, trucking and restraint of the animals.
