Beekeeping in New York City since 2012. Wilk Apiary is run by a family of Native New Yorkers with multiple apiaries (bee yards) in Queens as well as other NY State counties. We are the 1st NYC beekeepers to earn the "New York State Grown and Certified" designation from the NY State Department of Agriculture.
Our Hyper-Local Honey is bottled from our own hives with the month of harvest and hive location on each bottle. We also have a special Queens Blossoms which is a blend of harvests from different seasons and sites all in Queens County.
Our head beekeeper is a Cornell University Certified Master Beekeeper and will come to your school to speak about honey bees from grades K-12. During the season he brings an observation hive so the students can get close to live honeybees without fear.
