Rural Resources

Rural Resources' programming is guided by its mission to combat food insecurity for low-income families. Rural Resources has a 15-acre farm that serves as a community training ground for various types of agriculture practices. The Mobile Farmers Market reaches families in rural communities that otherwise may not have access to fresh, seasonal produce. The organization empower teens and housing agency residents by teaching them how to grow their own food in a sustainable manner. The Farm & Food Teen Training Program guides teens through learning how to cook the produce they grow as well as through the process of starting their own agriculture-related businesses.
