At Eastward Gardens, we have chosen a traditional CSA model where you will be buying into a share of the produce grown. This means as a CSA subscriber you will receive a box of freshly harvested produce once a week during the growing season and all the produce will come from our farm in Hardinsburg. With this model you will be excepting the risks involved in farming as well as the rewards. We have no control over nature, and there is the possibility of some crop failure. However, when we have success you will be partaking in the bounty of the farm as a CSA member. Why buy a CSA? To have the freshest and most nutritional food you can get! With a local food source being secured in your community. Picked when ripe, not for shipping unripe. Dont worry about not knowing what to do with the produce. Each box will contain a newsletter that will include information about the produce in your box along with some recipe ideas. All this while supporting a local farm. Dates: The CSA season begins mid-May to early June and will last until mid-September to early October. Our spring/summer season is 20 weeks
