At edible South Shore & South Coast, our mission is to provide free access to information about the benefits of sourcing your food as close to home as possible. We provide this with well-thought-out editorial and engaging photography in an entertaining way.

We are located in Southeastern Massachusetts and we profile our local farms, farmers, and farmers' markets. We also share stories of CSAs, wine and beer makers, fishers, food artisans, and restaurants. We'll entertain and educate you with articles about raw milk, grass-fed beef, heritage breeds, chickens and eggs, bees and honey, herbs, natural products, independent businesses, beneficial pet items, canning and preserving, as well as many seasonal recipes in each quarterly issue.

We look at the "environment" as a larger concept - eating local has benefits on so many levels: It's respectful of local ecology, keeps money in local economies, increases the mindfulness with which consumers buy and eat their food, increases food security, and strengthens the network of local neighbors who know and support each other for mutual benefit. The entire environment in which we live benefits when eaters source what they can locally.
