Fat Mountain Farms began as a hobby for a father and his three daughters. Our farm started with just a few pet goats and eventually grew into a herd of katahdin lambs, cows, and chickens. The early chapters of Fat Mountain Farms showed us that there is a steep learning curve on the traditional ways of livestock stewardship. As the years have passed we have continued on that learning curve and have added additional team members to our family.
One of the lessons we have since learned is that traditional agricultural practices have manipulated the growing cycles of crops and livestock far outside of the natural order. Today, Fat Mountain Farms is actively working to heal our land and strengthen our herd through holistic and sustainable practices. Our team believes God?s way is the best way of stewarding. By focusing on returning nutrients to our pasture and keeping our livestock in a happy environment Fat Mountain Farms is able to provide 100% grass raised and finished meat cuts to the local community.
