CSA: Foodshed Farm

We’ve joined forces with Giants Farm to bring you the best CSA in town! CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. Joining a CSA is a great way to get to know your food and farmer better and to support your local food system in a very direct way! By purchasing a “share” in advance of the season, you provide us with seed money (literally) for the upcoming season in exchange for a great haul of veggies each week. CSA members are welcomed and encouraged to visit the farm. We plan to have farm gatherings at the farm throughout the season.

Our CSA will provide you with a variety of fresh greens, herbs, roots, and summer fruit (think tomato, eggplant, and peppers!) each week. Each weekly share is enough vegetables for a family of four or two hearty vegetarians. Receive between 8 and 12 items each week starting on June 4 and going through October 15!

Pick-up will be Wednesdays between 4 and 6:30pm at the Old Town General Store in Lansing or at the farm just north of East Lansing. You will receive 20 weeks of fresh produce including but not limited to:

- Spinach - Salad Mix - Head Lettuce - Arugula - Swiss Chard - Kale - Radishes - Turnips - Herbs: Sage, Thyme, Rosemary, Oregano - Onions - Shallots -Garlic - Rutabaga - Carrots - Beets - Parsnips - Potatoes - Cabbage – Tomatoes – Cucumbers – Summer and Winter Squash – Peppers, Sweet and Hot – Parsley – Dill – Cilantro – Peas – Basil – Kohlrabi -Eggplant – Fennel – Celariac - Share Costs:

The Farmers’ Friend $650 (feeds 4 vegetable-loving omnivores or 2 enthusiastic vegetarians)

The Garden Variety $400 (feeds 2 vegetable-loving omnivores or 1 enthusiastic vegetarian, smaller than a full share, but actually more than half!)
