Bright Moon Farm

We are a small family farm raising quality ARI registered huacaya alpacas tucked away on a rural road in the midst of suburbia. Alpacas produce a super lightweight fiber that is 4 times warmer than wool - without the itch factor. The structure of the fiber itself, coupled with the fact that it does not contain lanolin and needs no harsh processing make it the perfect natural fiber for warm accessories and clothing that will last for years. It is said that if you can't wear wool, you can probably still wear alpaca!

Our animals are raised with love on quality pasture as part of the family and we participate in resource conservation. We offer manure/compost for pickup (with your containers) from spring thru fall by appointment. We also have a small quantity of native milkweed seeds for sale each year if you are interested in adding a little stand of it to an out of the way corner of your yard. Milkweed is the only food that monarch caterpillars consume and is critical to their survival.

We usually hold our Holiday Open House events on Sundays from Thanksgiving weekend thru Christmas - but call ahead to confirm hours please. Alpaca accessories such as socks, hats, gloves and scarves are available for sale - alpaca socks are a must have for outdoor enthusiasts! Pick up something for that extra special person on your gift list!
