Townsend Farms

Townsend Farms is a 6th generation family farm located in the Northwest corner of Kansas, adjacent to Colorado. The farm is near Mt. Sunflower, the highest point in Kansas, the altitude and the arid climate are ideal for the production of dry edible beans specifically pinto beans. Pintos were first introduced to the farm in the mid 1950's over 50 years ago. Premium production practices have been developed over 3 generations of soil preparation, planting, carefully growing, harvesting, cleaning and packaging. In recent years Spring Yellow Peas have become a part of the crop rotation and provide an excellent alternative for a slightly less expensive high protein product. Townsend Farms, with the J.
