Chippokes Farm & Forestry Museum

We are one of the oldest continually farmed plantations in the US As a working farm and museum we aim to educate through our gardens, fields, demonstrations and harvests. We interpret a variety of products and use our antique equipment during our harvest demos to show how it was done "in the olden days" Our gardens and fields feature, cotton, flax, corn, hay, soy, tobacco, heirloom vegetables and herbs. We have just recently replanted the historic fruit orchard and an acre of Native Virginia Long Leaf Pine. We also feature typical farm animals along with our famous donkey Jack.
