Read and Roast by Headcount Coffee is a small-batch coffee roastery and bookstore located in the heart of Jewett, Texas. We roast every batch to order using organic, fair trade coffee beans, ensuring every cup is as fresh as it is flavorful. Our goal is simple, to serve great coffee, build community, and create a welcoming space where people can slow down, read, and connect.

Alongside our fresh-roasted coffee and good reads, we proudly feature local goods and Texas-made products, including local honey from Bee Kind Honey in Mexia, artisan breads from The Crunchy Boule, goat soaps and body products from Texas Trails Ranch, and natural wellness items from Heritage Wellness in Centerville.

Whether you’re stopping in for a cup, picking up a bag of beans, or exploring locally made items, you’ll find something unique at Read and Roast. We’re located right between the Baymont Hotel and the State Bank of Jewett, look for the white coffee sign and the smell of fresh roast drifting through the air.
