Green Tomato Grocery Cooperative - a grocery for us by us. In our initiative stage, we intend to be a member-owned grocery co-operative focused on our members and the community at large. We will prioritize convenient access to fairly-priced local and environmentally sound products supportive of healthy lifestyles. Through educational activities and events we will foster farmer-to-consumer relationships and awareness of our personal connection with food. Following the seven international values of cooperatives, we will practice democratic member control, act with autonomy and independence, provide education, work in cooperation among cooperatives and demonstrate concern for the community through local reinvestment stores.
