Angus, Angus Cross, Hereford and other assorted breeds of beef raised in beautiful Madison County, Virginia. Beef is source verified. We are a small family run farm offering fully finished beef on lush pasture with an additional benefit of a custom ground grain that is hand fed; our beef are never confined in a feed lot even in the finishing phase and are completely finished at a weight between 1200-1500 pounds. Our beef is not fed antibiotics, growth hormones or have implants. We use no sludge or apply pesticides/herbicides on our pastures or hayfields. We rotationally graze our stock all year round to improve the health of the stock and to improve our farmland that we own and rent. We are a "Virginia's Finest" product and meet the Virginia Dept of Agriculture's requirement for all- natural beef.
We offer half and whole sides by the hanging weight (USDA processing charge is separate). We can be found at www.ridersbackfieldfarmbeef.com and here at the farm by appointment. If you live in the Culpeper, Virginia area, you may find our retail beef at the Ole Country Store on US 29.
