Grove Creek Farm

Welcome to Grove Creek Farm! We are a 300 acre sustainable farm in the Georgia Piedmont, just outside of Athens, GA, offering breeding stock and grass-fed beef from our herd of 35 heritage breed Pineywoods Cattle. We practice environmentally sound land management, which includes an active rotational grazing system that gives the land rest when it needs and the cattle the freshest, most nutritious forage. On 100 acres of restored pasture we grow a variety of cool season clovers and summer legumes, bermuda grass, bahaia grass, tall fescue, and several native grasses. Our cattle are descendants of the first cattle brought to the Americas by Spanish explorers of the sixteenth century. Hardy and spirited, they reflect the strength developed through hundreds of years of survival in the Southeast. We rely on the genetics of this ancient breed to keep themselves healthy. This means we do not have a vaccination schedule you find in conventional beef nor do we administer antibiotics or hormones. We are proud to offer a unique and delicious beef that is truly 100% Georgia.
