CSA: GRuB (Garden-Raised Bounty)

For 16 weeks from late June to early October, you'll pick up your weekly share of healthy, local produce at the GRuB Farm in West Olympia and we'll also send good food home with youth in our GRuB School program. These same youth tend the farm, harvest for the CSA and are responsible for the high quality of your boxes.

Our summer CSA shares cost $550 for 16 weeks of yummy produce (be sure to check out our Earlybird Special!). That may be a tad more than some other CSAs in our area (not by much), but that's because a portion of the cost goes to subsidize the produce that we send home with youth in our GRuB School program each week. Your support enables low-income and disengaged youth to bring the fruits of their labor home. This reduces strain on the family budget and often introduces healthier food into the family diet. Upon request, we can provide a tax deductible receipt for the portion of your payment which is above typical fair-market value.

Fall CSA We typically offer a 7 week fall CSA from early October to late November. You'll pick up your weekly share of healthy, local produce at the GRuB Farm in West Olympia and we'll also send good food home with youth in our GRuB School program. These same youth tend the farm, harvest for the CSA and are responsible for the high quality of your boxes. Typical fall shares include 10-15 items a week, such as winter squash, kale, salad mix, broccoli, cabbage, leeks, onions, carrots, beets, and tomatoes.

Our fall CSA shares cost $210 for 7 weeks of yummy produce. That may be a tad more than some other CSAs in our area (not by much), but that's because a portion of the cost goes to subsidize the produce that we send home with youth in our GRuB School program each week. Your support enables low-income and disengaged youth to bring the fruits of their labor home. This reduces strain on the family budget and often introduces healthier food into the family diet.
