By joining the CSA, youll be getting the freshest, healthiest produce available while supporting a local, family-run farm. In addition, CSA members support their community and the environment by buying produce grown right here in Rhode Island. We, the farmers, benefit by having a guaranteed market for a portion of our produce and by receiving income that coincides with start-up costs. In a CSA, members and farmers together share both the bounty and risks of farming. While we strive to grow a wide variety of crops for our CSA customers, every season brings challenges. In the case of unforeseen or unavoidable acts of nature and/or seed failure, some planned crops may not be available in a given season. That having been said, the following list represents some of the produce you may expect to see over the course of the season: lettuces and greens of many types, peas, beans, beets, onions, garlic, summer squashes, winter squashes, melons, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, cucumbers, radishes, corn and more. Share season is 14 weeks - June-September with starting/ending weeks varying year to year.
