Here at Harvest Moon Farm, we specialize in raising heritage American Guinea Hogs. Our pigs are raised in the woods and moved frequently to give them access to fresh ground. They spend their days feasting on roots, nuts and greenery, the way their ancestors did. We regularly have weaned piglets available, as well as young hogs ready for butcher. Our American Guinea Hog boar is a grandson of the famed AGH, Samson. He and his mates produce large, healthy, correct piglets. While this breed grows more slowly than commercial breeds and doesn't produce a huge carcass, the pork from these pigs is highly sought after and is considered a delicacy by chefs throughout the US.
