WHAT?
For those of you who love vegetables and fresh herbs and can't get enough at Saturday Farmer's Market we have been asked to start mid-week bag(s) of veggies. This would be similar to a CSA (I call it a modified CSA - Community Supported Agriculture) but you pay a majority of the costs as you go, rather than all up front as other CSAs do.
HOW MUCH?
¢¯¿½?¢ Non-refundable CSA commitment/membership fee
¢¯¿½?¢ $15 per week of delivery of so if you go on vacation and don't need vegetables that week you are not out that money - if you are detained the evening of delivery please have a friend pick up your vegetables
¢¯¿½?¢ Purchase is expected each week but friends can share a membership
HOW DOES THIS WORK?
¢¯¿½?¢ Wednesday late afternoon pick up in town at Dr Breanna Batey's Health First Chiropractic clinic on Downing St, Tahlequah
¢¯¿½?¢ We keep a list of items that you don't like so that you are not paying for those items but will send a small trial amounts so you can try new things
¢¯¿½?¢ We choose what goes into the bag based on what's growing well that week, giving you the best variety we can - this allows for culinary adventure as well as great nutrition
¢¯¿½?¢ We pack the bags with $18-25 worth of veggies per week based on farmer¢¯¿½?¢a?A??z?¢s market prices for so that you get greater than your $15 value each week
¢¯¿½?¢ A newsletter via email comes out on Sunday nights with recipes, links, resources and information on cooking and preserving items that are growing well that week, health benefits and other interesting tidbits from the farm or garden tips. So that you can more easily eat with the seasons, recipes and links are also available on the web site.
