Heavenly Portion Family Farm

Paul and Morgan Mathews both grew up on farms. Paul is a third generation farmer and Morgan is a second generation farmer. We both loved growing up on a farm and appreciate the life lessons and character that life style offers. We desire for our children to experience the same blessings. We are also passionate about healthy eating and desire to nourish our family and community with clean, wholesome food that we produce on our farm.

Our animals are raised on pasture out in the fresh air and sunshine. We practice rotational grazing methods. In addition to pasture, our chickens and pigs receive Non GMO grain. Our beef and lamb are grass finished with a small portion of oats, which help replicate their natural diet with mature seed heads. We don't use chemical fertilizers on our pasture, we seek to sustain good fertility through our rotational grazing system. This combination creates a deliciously healthy product that you can feel good about serving your family.

Our farm name is taken from the Bible verse: "The Lord is the portion of my inheritance and of my cup. Thou maintainest my lot. The lines have fallen unto me in pleasant places; yes, I have a goodly heritage. " Psalm 16:5-6 The Lord is our "Heavenly Portion" and we desire to provide a wholesome, delicious portion of food for our family and community. We look foreard to servong you in the 2020 growing season!

We make weekly preorder deliveries to the Outer Banks during the winter months. May through December we do a market in Wanchese, NC and one in Nags Head.
