The Food Initiative is a non profit organization in Clarksville, TN. The farm has several purposes in its operation. The first purpose is to bring a diverse group of high school students together over the summer to work on the farm. Through the Summer Youth Program, the students learn about sustainable agriculture, hunger and homelessness, diversity, money management, health and so much more. They also work with local hunger relief organizations to feed and distribute food to the less fortunate in our community. That's the second major purpose of The Food Initiative. We are growing healthy food for our community. We donate some of our harvest to the local HRO's, as well as sell our produce at the Clarksville Downtown Market on Saturdays from mid-May to mid-October. We also offer full and half CSA shares. Check out our website for more information.
