High Balsam Farm in Lakewood is a new, 1-acre urban farm with a focus on growing gourmet culinary and medicinal mushrooms. We use sustainable and permaculture practices, and are always looking for new ways to be good stewards of our land. Farm tours, daily and live-in volunteering, mushroom cultivation classes and workshops, fresh and dried mushrooms by the pound, personal home mushroom grower consulting, mushroom growing supplies, and a weekly mushroom subscription box (CSA) are all offered.
