COMMUNITY BUILT ON FOOD
The story of our ingredients.
ALL OF OUR PRODUCE IS ALWAYS ORGANIC.
If it's seasonal, it's from a local farm, and we can tell you which.
Our BEANS, GRAINS, SEEDS and NUTS are ALWAYS ORGANIC.
We buy black beans, garbanzos, lentils and pumpkin seeds from local farms.
The RED SNAPPER in our fish tacos are harvested one by one, by fishermen careful to put back any fish that are spawning.
Our CHICKENS are raised on pasture on a local farm,
all the better to achieve that crucial balance of omega 3s and 6s.
Because there's no point in cooking organic food in a lesser medium, we use nothing but ORGANIC OILS or BUTTER. We season with ORGANIC HERBS and SPICES, and you can tell.
VIRTUALLY EVERY PENNY YOU SPEND HERE WILL GO STRAIGHT BACK INTO THE LOCAL ECONOMY.
What we don't buy directly from local farmers or fishermen, we obtain almost entirely from the local distributors and food producers.
ENJOY AND THRIVE!
Organic farmers can be hard to please, but I for one am happy to eat at Holy Cow! This restaurant is authentic and supports local farms and organic producers in our area. Three cheers!
Local, organic ingredients are the basis of our menu which features favorites from around the world. Biodynamic produce from Camas Swale, line caught fish from the Port Orford sustainable fishery, and real pasture raised organic chickens from Deck Family Farm. Our juices are made by Genesis Juice, our tofu comes from Surata Soyfoods. Local since 1990.
